As the flagship of the CA series, it combines an exceptionally realistic keyboard with a sound concept built on decades of grand piano craftsmanship – the ideal choice for ambitious pianists who do not want to compromise at home.

Grand Feel III: the touch of a real grand piano

At the heart of the CA901 is the Grand Feel III keyboard with 88 keys made entirely of wood – a construction usually found only in acoustic grand pianos. The Ivory/Ebony Touch surface provides a secure grip, while three sensors per key with let-off simulation capture the finest nuances of touch. The result is a playing feel remarkably close to that of a concert grand.

SK-EX Rendering: the sound of real concert grands

With SK-EX Rendering technology and Harmonic Imaging XL, the CA901 reproduces the full sound of the Shigeru Kawai SK-EX and Kawai EX concert grand pianos – including sympathetic resonance and damper noise. Of the 96 sounds available, 5 different rendering characters are provided per grand piano model, complemented by the sound of the SK-5 Grand and the K-60 piano. The TwinDrive Soundboard System, with 135 watts of total power and two AURES transducers, sets the soundboard itself into vibration – for a sound that fills the room rather than simply coming from speakers.
