The Yamaha GB1K is the most compact grand piano in the Yamaha family and therefore the ideal choice when space is limited but your expectations of the sound are not. At only 151 cm in length it also fits into smaller living rooms, studios or teaching rooms, while bringing with it the tonal richness and the elegant appearance of a real grand piano.

Precise Action and a Stable Cast Frame

The cast frame is produced by the modern V-Pro vacuum process, which ensures a particularly stable and durable construction – the basis for lasting tuning stability. The Yamaha Balanced Action transmits every nuance of the touch precisely to the strings, while the key coverings of acrylic resin (white) and phenolic resin (black) remain pleasantly grippy.

Well Thought-Out Details for Everyday Use

The soft-close key cover closes gently and silently, and a lid stopper protects against trapped fingers. The sostenuto pedal allows individual notes to be sustained in a targeted way, while the damper and una corda pedals open up the full dynamic range. If you would like to practise quietly, the GB1K can optionally be fitted with the Yamaha SC3 Silent system.
