Yamaha B10 – the compact entry into the new B Series

The Yamaha B10 is the most compact model in the newly developed Yamaha B Series and the ideal entry into the world of acoustic pianos. At just 110 cm tall, it fits into almost any room – from the living room to the children's room to the practice room – and, thanks to its revised construction, delivers a remarkably clear, open sound for its compact size. Successor to the Yamaha B1: The B10 replaces the long-standing entry-level model B1. The height of 110 cm stays the same; new are the redesigned soundboard, the hammers derived from the CFX concert grand, the soft-close key cover and the full-width music rest.

Redesigned soundboard and CFX-derived hammers

The redesigned soundboard with its curved crown structure is the source of the instrument's sound and provides a clear, room-filling tone. Five back posts and the sturdy V-Pro cast-iron frame protect the structure against the high string tension and preserve tuning stability. The newly developed B Series Special hammers draw on know-how from the Yamaha CFX concert grand and produce a focused, projecting tone across the entire range.

Precise action and thoughtful details

All action components are machined with high precision and carefully assembled – for a smooth, consistent feel. The wide music rest extends across the full length of the fallboard and securely holds open sheet music. The soft-close mechanism closes the key cover gently and protects against pinched fingers.

Purely acoustic – Silent (SC3) and TransAcoustic (TC3) available separately

This is the purely acoustic version of the B10. If you would like to practise flexibly and silently, the Silent version B10 SC3 (practice via headphones) and the B10 TC3 with TransAcoustic system are available as separate models.
