The Yamaha b3, in its elegant Polished Ebony finish with chrome fittings, stands 121 cm tall and is the largest, most resonant model in the b Series. Thanks to the built-in SC3 Silent Piano system, it combines the warm, full tone of a classic acoustic piano with the freedom to practise silently on headphones at any time – ideal for families, beginners and dedicated pianists alike.

Powerful tone from a robust build

Five braces support the massive soundboard, giving the instrument extra strength and outstanding playing response. The result is a remarkably brilliant, carrying tone that fills even larger rooms with ease. The 88 keys, finished in acrylic resin (white) and phenolic resin (black), add a comfortable, secure feel to every note.

Silent system for quiet practice without compromising sound quality

Activate the SC3 Silent system and the hammers stop just short of the strings – the piano itself stays silent while sensors capture your playing precisely and reproduce it through headphones. The digital sound is built on binaurally recorded samples of the Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial concert grands, delivering 256-note polyphony and 12 voices. Technologies such as Virtual Resonance Modeling and Grand Expression Modeling bring the digital experience remarkably close to the original acoustic sound.

Connected for modern piano practice

Via Bluetooth Audio/MIDI, the b3 SC3 pairs wirelessly with the Yamaha Smart Pianist app, while USB ports (to Device and to Host) plus an AUX input round out its connectivity. Capture your own performances as MIDI or straight to WAV audio – for up to 80 minutes of playing time per recording.
