Natural Touch Thanks to the Ivorite Keyboard and the Special YUS Action

The white keys with Ivorite surfaces and the black keys made of WPC provide a pleasantly grippy, absorbent touch – even during long practice sessions. The hammer action developed especially for the YUS series transfers every nuance of your playing precisely to the strings, supported by three pedals including sostenuto for additional means of expression.

Two Concert Grands in One Instrument – The SH3 Silent System

When you activate Silent mode, the hammers stop just before the strings: the piano remains acoustically silent, while non-contact electromagnetic sensors capture your playing and reproduce binaurally sampled sounds of two concert grand pianos – the Yamaha CFX and the Bösendorfer Imperial – through headphones. With 256-note polyphony and 25 voices plus 480 XG voices for playback, electric piano, harpsichord and organ sounds are available to you in addition to the piano sound.

Wirelessly Connected with the Smart Pianist App

Via Bluetooth Audio/MIDI, the YUS5 SH3 connects wirelessly to the Yamaha Smart Pianist app and lets you control voices, metronome and recordings conveniently from your smartphone. USB Host & Device as well as MIDI In/Out and two headphone sockets round off the range of connections.
