CY headjoint and Sterling Silver lip plate

The heart of every flute is the headjoint. The CY headjoint with its polyconical taper delivers a light, precise response and a full, rich tone across all registers. The lip plate and riser are made of solid Sterling Silver .925: the denser material gives the tone more colour and expression and makes clean tone production easier, especially during the learning phase.

Well-thought-out mechanism for effortless playing

Body, headjoint, foot and keys are made of sturdy nickel silver and are completely silver-plated. The open ring keys with French-style pointed key-arms encourage a correct finger position and a more open sound. The offset G eases the hand and sits more naturally under the fingers, while the E mechanism (split E) makes the high E noticeably easier and more secure to play. The C foot rounds off the instrument as the ideal standard for lessons.
