The heart of any flute is its headjoint. On the YFL-322 it is made of sterling silver (925 silver) and built as a CY headjoint with a polyconical taper. Thoughtful mechanism for comfortable playing

The body, foot and keys are made of durable nickel silver and completely silver-plated. The closed (plateau) keys with offset G sit ergonomically under the fingers and make playing easier, especially for smaller hands. The pointed (French-pointed) key arms are drawn from Yamaha’s Handmade flute construction and provide direct, precise key action.
