A Singing Tone for Your Home – the Yamaha C2X Grand Piano

The Yamaha C2X from the CX series brings the heritage of the legendary CFX concert grand into your home in a compact size. At 173 cm it is the entry point to the CX range and yet a grand piano for discerning requirements – ideal for pianists who are looking for an expressive, singing tone without needing a concert hall.

Tonal Richness Straight from the Concert Grand Heritage

The soundboard and hammer heads of the C2X come from the same development line as those of the flagship CFX: an improved crown of the soundboard provides fuller volume and finer response, while the CX Series Special hammer heads make the finest nuances of the touch audible – from delicate pianissimo passages to powerful brilliance.

Precise Action, Stable Vacuum-Cast Frame

The 88 keys with Yamaha's own grand piano action respond to even the subtlest nuance of the touch, while the key coverings of Ivorite and WPC offer a pleasant grip even during long playing sessions. The frame, produced by vacuum casting, withstands a tension of over 20 tonnes and contributes to tonal stability – the three pedals with damper, sostenuto and shift open up the full dynamic spectrum to you.

Your benefits at a glance:

• Concert grand heritage: soundboard and hammer heads from the same technology line as the CFX.
• Sensitive response: CX Series Special hammer heads for finely differentiated tonal nuances.
• Full dynamic spectrum: 3 pedals including sostenuto and shift.
• High-quality workmanship: vacuum-cast frame, slow-close key cover, lid lock.
• Flexibly selectable: finishes on request, optionally with the Yamaha SH3 Silent system or as a Disklavier.
