The Yamaha YUS5 is the flagship model of the YUS series, combining premium materials with technical expertise carried over from Yamaha's flagship CFX concert grand. For discerning pianists who refuse to compromise on tone, expression and touch at home, this upright is an outstanding choice.
Premium materials for maximum expressiveness
The solid spruce soundboard is hand-selected and reinforced with full-length spruce ribs, delivering a rich, overtone-laden sound. The hammers follow the same construction as the CFX concert grand, enabling powerful, nuanced touch across the full dynamic range. Hand-wound German strings with copper-wound bass strings provide a warm, carrying foundation.
Natural touch thanks to the Ivorite keyboard
The 88 keys with Ivorite keytops offer a pleasant grip thanks to their fine-pored surface, which absorbs moisture for secure playing even during long sessions. Three pedals, including a true sostenuto pedal, allow for refined tonal shaping, and the soft-close fallboard reliably protects the keyboard from damage.
