Practise at home, perform on stage – the Kawai ES520
The Kawai ES520 is an ultra-light stage piano that makes no compromises on touch or sound. At just 14.5 kg, it is packed up and set up in seconds – ideal for musicians who move between rehearsal room, stage and living room without giving up a premium instrument.
Authentic touch thanks to Responsive Hammer Compact II
The 88 keys of the Responsive Hammer Compact II action are progressively weighted: heavier in the bass, lighter in the treble – just like on an acoustic grand piano. Triple-sensor detection ensures precise touch dynamics, while the matte key surfaces provide a secure grip even during long sessions.
Natural sound and powerful output, co-developed with Onkyo
The Progressive Harmonic Imaging sound engine is built on 88-key stereo samples of the SK-EX, EX and K-60 concert grand pianos, enhanced with damper and string resonance for natural decay. With 192-note polyphony and 34 voices, no nuance is lost even in complex passages or layered sounds. The 40-watt speaker system, co-developed with Onkyo, delivers this sound with power and clarity – no external amplification needed.
Wirelessly connected and ready to play
Via Bluetooth Audio/MIDI you connect the ES520 wirelessly to your tablet, smartphone or notation software, and stream your favourite playlist directly through the built-in speakers. USB to Host/Device and MIDI In/Out open the door to DAWs and external gear, while the OLED display keeps operation clear at all times.
Your benefits at a glance:
- Ultra-light and portable: just 14.5 kg – ideal for moving between stage, rehearsal room and home.
- Grand piano feel to go: progressively weighted hammer action with triple-sensor precision.
- Full, natural sound: PHI sound engine with damper and string resonance, 192-note polyphony.
- Powerful onboard sound system: 40-watt speakers co-developed with Onkyo, no external amp needed.
- Modern connectivity: Bluetooth Audio/MIDI, USB and MIDI ports for studio and stage.
