The Kawai ES120 is the latest entry point to the popular ES series of portable digital pianos and successor to the well-loved ES110. With its slim, reinforced cabinet and a weight of just 12 kg (12.5 kg with the music rest attached), it is the ideal companion at home, in the rehearsal room, or on the road, without compromising on sound.

Authentic touch with Responsive Hammer Compact

The Responsive Hammer Compact keyboard offers 88 weighted keys with graded hammers and newly optimised noise damping for exceptionally quiet playing. Matte key surfaces provide secure grip, and two sensors per key capture playing dynamics precisely, selectable between Light, Normal, Heavy or Off.

Concert grand tone thanks to Harmonic Imaging

At the heart of the ES120 is Harmonic Imaging sound technology featuring samples from the Shigeru Kawai SK-EX and the Kawai EX concert grand. 25 voices, ranging from piano to electric piano, strings and bass, plus 192-note polyphony deliver rich, clean sound even in demanding passages. The Virtual Technician feature allows fine adjustments such as damper resonance and hammer noise, while six reverb settings (Room, Small Hall, Concert Hall, Lounge, Live Hall, Cathedral) round out the sound.

Wirelessly connected with app control

Bluetooth Audio (version 5.1) streams music wirelessly from a smartphone, while Bluetooth MIDI (version 5.0) connects to apps without cables. The free Kawai PianoRemote app controls nearly all functions and voice selection from a smartphone or tablet, and the PiaBookPlayer app gives access to more than 500 practice pieces with sheet music.
