A concert grand for your home – Yamaha C7X

With the Yamaha C7X, you bring home the flagship model of the CX series – a grand piano that comes close to the class of a true concert grand. It is designed for demanding pianists, music schools and anyone seeking a noble, far-carrying tone, whether on a large stage or in a private living room. At 227 cm in length, it ranks among the largest grand pianos Yamaha builds for semi-professional to professional use.

Soundboard technology from the CFX concert grand

The C7X soundboard uses the same bonding technique for soundboard, ribs and bridge as the legendary CFX concert grand – for a fuller sound rich in overtones. The cast iron frame is manufactured by Yamaha itself using a vacuum die-casting process; the internal bracing has been significantly reinforced compared with earlier models, giving the instrument greater volume and resonance.

A responsive action for maximum expressiveness

The 88 keys, with Ivorite (white) and WPC (black) coverings, feel comfortable and precise under the fingers. CX Series Special hammers and an individual let-off mechanism with chrome-plated parts allow the finest nuances, from the softest pianissimo to a powerful fortissimo. Three pedals – damper, sostenuto and soft – give you the full classical range of expression.

Your benefits at a glance:

• Concert grand tone in a more compact format: CFX-derived soundboard technology for a full, overtone-rich sound.
• Highly refined touch dynamics: CX Series Special hammers and individual let-off for nuanced playing.
• Robust construction: Yamaha-made V-Pro cast iron frame and reinforced internal bracing.
• Everyday comfort: Soft-Close fallboard protects your fingers, lockable key cover protects the instrument.
• Timeless elegance: high-gloss polished ebony case for any representative space.
