For its voice, the YDP-166 draws on samples from Yamaha's flagship CFX concert grand, delivering an expressive, colourful tone across the entire range. Virtual Resonance Modeling Lite (VRM Lite) recreates the complex string and cabinet resonance of a grand piano, while the 2x 20 W amplifier and two 12 cm speakers with diffuser grille deliver full, immersive sound.
