For this slim cabinet, Yamaha engineered the newly developed GHC (Graded Hammer Compact) keyboard: 88 keys with finely graded weighting, heavier in the low register and lighter in the high register, just like an acoustic grand piano. The matte black key surfaces provide secure grip with every touch.

The sound of Yamaha's CFX concert grand

The P-225 uses the sound of Yamaha's flagship CFX concert grand piano, refined by Virtual Resonance Modeling Lite (VRM Lite) technology: it recreates the subtle resonance changes produced by the strings of a real grand piano with every touch. With 192-note polyphony, 24 voices and 4 reverb effects, the P-225 delivers a versatile sound palette, conveniently controllable via USB-to-Host or Bluetooth audio with the Smart Pianist app.
