New sounds for your musical ideas

The Yamaha YDS-122 digital saxophone invites you to explore familiar melodies with fresh tonal colours. The additional instrument sounds reach beyond saxophone voices: violin and trumpet also broaden your musical options.

More sounds and updated equipment

16 additional instrument voices give you new ways to approach your favourite pieces. USB-C is part of the updated equipment. Yamaha has also improved the keys for greater durability and introduced a new analogue controller.

Saxophone sounds and beyond

89 voices, including 56 saxophone voices, provide a broad palette for different musical styles. AWM sampling forms the sound engine. A breath sensor detects blowing pressure for expressive playing. The specially designed mouthpiece can be removed for cleaning.

Set the volume to suit your practice

15 volume levels and a headphone socket let you adapt the sound level to your practice session. AUX accepts music from an external source; this signal is played through the headphone socket. Five effect types are available for headphone listening.

Familiar fingering and flexible settings

The saxophone fingering layout includes high F-sharp, front F and low A keys. YDS Controller lets you edit settings and voices and customise fingering. Rec’n’Share helps you record your performances. Power the instrument using a suitable USB supply or four AAA batteries.

Your benefits at a glance:

• Creative possibilities: Explore fresh musical colours with the additional instrument voices.
• A different perspective: Try a violin or trumpet sound for a familiar melody.
• Updated connection: USB-C adds a current connector to the digital instrument.
• Revised controls: More durable keys and a new analogue controller are part of this model.
