The Yamaha YRS-402 is a three-piece soprano recorder with baroque fingering, made from Ecodear™ – an environmentally conscious bioplastic in which part of the petroleum-based material is replaced with resins from plant starch.

Higher density for a wood-like tone

Ecodear™ has a significantly higher density than standard plastic. This gives the recorder a more centred tone, improved blowing resistance and easier response – bringing the YRS-402 even closer to the sound of a wooden recorder. The curved windway meets the standard of professional instruments, and undercut tone holes in the foot joint improve intonation.
