The D'Angelico Premier Tammany is a semi-solid electro-acoustic guitar with an orchestral (OM) body shape that will captivate you with its beautiful design and rich sound. The front of the guitar is made of solid Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made of laminated mahogany. The slightly narrower OM-shaped body (83 x 102 mm) gives the instrument a sound with warm mids and bright highs. The guitar's excellent acoustic qualities are enhanced by the reduced X-shaped fretwork (Scalloped X).
A mahogany neck with a narrower C-profile is glued to a 20-fret Ovangkol fingerboard. Position blocks made of imitation mother-of-pearl facilitate orientation on the surface. The body of the guitar is balanced by a headstock in the traditional shape of D'Angelico instruments, decorated with a mother-of-pearl company logo. The strings are mounted in the aforementioned antique bronze tuning mechanism via the nut and the zero-bone frets and the Ovangkol headstock. The appearance of the instrument is enhanced by a rosette made of mother-of-pearl (abalone) and ABS rings, a light-colored body and fingerboard binding, complemented by black lines or ebony pegs in the fingerboard with mother-of-pearl dots.
The instrument's sound system is provided by a D'Angelico preamp with integrated tuner, built into the neck of the guitar.
